Thanks to the folks who set up this website - I have enjoyed checking in periodically to see everyone's updates. I very much look forward to coming back next year and seeing everyone.

So, to fill everyone in on the past 20 years:

Moved to DC after high school to go to Georgetown, graduated in 1992 with an English degree. Literally weeks after graduation, I made the Olympic Track and Field Team in 1992 in the 1500 meters and competed in Barcelona.

I stayed in DC and launched a professional running career that lasted until 2001. Many highs and lows during those 9 years, but lots of amazing experiences for a skinny kid from Richfield.

Met my wife Teresa in DC, got married in 1999, and moved to St. Paul for a year in 2001 after I retired from competition. My wife got a job as an English professor at Hamline. I realized I had to grow up and get a real job, so we moved to Philly in 2002 where I went back to school and got an MBA in 2004. Our daughter Chloe was born in 2002.

We live outside of Philly and I work in management at Vanguard - big mutual fund company.

Still doing some running - I have done three marathons in the past few years - but purely for recreation at this stage.

Been fortunate to remain close with many of my homeys from Richfield and I try to get back often to visit friends and family.

I definitely will be back next year, and I look forward to catching up!

After 10th grade I moved in with my father in Brooklyn Park and graduated from Osseo High School. Got married in 1990. Divorced in 2001. I became a devoted follower of Jesus Christ in 1998 while my marriage was falling apart and by the grace of God I made it through those difficult years.
My prayer for each of you is that you will come to know the unsurpassing joy of having a saving relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is only by his mercy and grace that I am alive today.

I remarried in 2003 to a wonderful woman with two boys. Between us we have 5 children. My daughter is 20 and my youngest daughter is 5. Our 3 boys are 18, 15, and 15. I am currently a member at  Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Anoka, MN where my wife and I teach a youth Sunday School class.
I didn't make it to the reunion but I have enjoyed reviewing the profiles of my former classmates from 6-10th grade. My sincerest thanks to all who have had a part in this great website and the reunion planning. It is no small task. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

I run two businesses; Larry;s Rare-Air Custom Airbrushing, LLC and in Sept. 2009 I began a new career as a MnemeTherapist. Hello everyone!  Alot has happened in 20 years.  After RHS I went to Gustavus for 2 years, transferred to the U of M, graduating with a BS in Occupational Therapy.  I have been working in the field ever since, first in pediatrics, and now with geriatrics in rehab (after strokes, knee replacemnets etc.).  
      I met my husband partying back at Gustavus after I had already transferred to the U.  We have been married for 11 years.  We have 3 girls, 9, 7 and 3 and a yellow lab "Max" (my poor husband needed a little testosterone in the house!) We live in Maple Grove.  The 2 older girls are in TaeKwonDo,  soccer and hockey ( I ran into the Denchfields in a hockey locker room recently, so we have been catching up!) so we are usually on the go.  I plan on coaching my oldest's soccer team this spring/summer.
      I hope to see many of you at the reunion!

Hi everyone!  When I graduated from Richfield, I went to Bethel College and graduated with a Bachelor of science in nursing in 92. Ever since then I've been working at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park as an RN, currently part-time in the ER.  That is where I met Kyle, my husband of 7 years.  We lived in south Mpls. for a while and  now live in Lakeville.  We have 3 wonderful children: Isabelle (5), Emmet (3), and Adeline (13 months).  We are super busy between gymnastics, swimming, and playdates; and this year our first daughter is in kindergarten!  We love to travel, scuba dive, and spend time with the kids at the cabin.   This summer my husband and I were fortunate enough to spend a well needed week away in Greece just the 2 of us.  I can't wait until the reunion.  It will be great to see everyone.  I love reading all the stories! See you all next summer!

After high school, I attended Winona State University and graduated from North Hennepin Community College.  I worked for Northwest Airlines for 12 years and the City of Little Canada for two years.  My wife, Kimberly Weinschenk Illg, and I have been married since October 2000.  We lived in Little Canada until September 2007 when Kim accepted a position with the Mayo Clinic.  We live in Rochester and have two daughters (Emerson, 6 & Reagan, 4) and one son (Dominick, 3).  I’m currently a chauffeur with Star Limousine in Rochester.

Hello to everyone.(especially to Ursula) Because we always find each other.  It seems so amazing how 20 years got here so fast.  My baby sister(out of 9) just graduated from Shakopee High School and she's just 18 :)

I can't wait to see everyone.  I've been married now for 5 years, and I have one beautiful son name Isaiah.  He is truly my miracle child.

20 years later and I still can’t imagine a better group of people to go to high school with!

 

Aside from the normal challenges life’s been great. I’ve been very happily married for 11 years to Jolene, a 1991 St Louis Park grad, and we live in Richfield (on the south side of Woodlake Nature Center) with our golden retriever. No kids yet, seems like a lot of work, but stay tuned on that. I work for a national medical benefits software company in Plymouth (SHPS) where I manage a project team and my wife is a senior editor for MSP Communications in Mpls. *Fun fact:  I dropped out of college in 1991 but finally made up for it when I enrolled at the U of MN in 1999 and graduated with a BA in business admin a couple years later, better late than then never!

 

Jolene and I spend most of our time outdoors doing whatever; hiking, biking, camping, cross country skiing or just walking our dog around Lake Harriet. Our travel history isn’t quite as exotic as some of the other classmates I’ve been reading about, but we do love to travel and have been to Europe a couple of times and up and down both the East and West coasts of the US.

 

Unfortunately it looks like the reunion coincides with our summer vacation plans so I probably won’t make it, but feel free to drop me a line (jhans7@msn.com) if you want to catch up.

I'm back in the cities (St Paul) after living in Perham, MN for 5 years. Prior to that, I lived in good old Richfield and worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield. I've got a great man in my life now.  He is an awesome Chef as well as musician.  He is the original & current bassist for Minnesota's original Shock Rock band Impaler.  Many things have changed for me in the last 20 years, married, divorced (was a good thing), met my new man, worked as a Supervisor at BCBSMN then became a painter & wood finisher.  Now I'm selling life insurance.  My kids consist of my animals, Hunter (9 yr old yellow lab/golden retreiver mix) and Oreo (9 year old cat).  I've still got the cabin on Bay Lake, which is where you will find me most weekends from April through October.   As for a current picture, I'll search for one.  Not a fan of having the picture taken.  Sorry I missed the reunion. The pictures look great.  Take care everyone.
